The International Webcasting Association
serves as the meeting place for companies active or interested
in the delivery of multimedia (audio and video) services to
consumers or business customers via the Net and other networks.
Companies that will benefit from joining
the IWA include:
- Content companies - radio and television
broadcasters
- Webcasters and any other content company
interested in audio and video distribution
- Companies or organizations that webcast
for internal communication or training purposes
- Educational Institutions - communications
or technology departments, radio stations, etc.
- Technology companies - software publishers,
hardware manufacturers and network and other service providers
- Portals/Content Aggregators
- Service Bureaus
The IWA has recently adopted a new dues
structure designed to make membership affordable for nearly
any company or organization involved with Webcasting without
discriminating based on what part of the webcasting industry
members come from. The goal of the association is to be as
inclusive as possible, with a wide membership base encompassing
all aspects of the webcasting industry. Membership is open
to anyone directly involved or interested in the webcasting
industry. (See Online Application Below).
There are two types of IWA membership:
Regular Members - Regular membership
is a voting membership with full IWA member benefits. Regular
members participate directly in association activities and
play a major role in shaping and promoting the industry. Benefits
of regular membership include:
- Association newsletters keeping you informed
of events, new developments, standards and best practices
of the webcasting industry
- Participation in webcast and live events
produced by the IWA.
- Eligibility to vote in any and all membership
elections and serve on the Board of Directors or Committees,
- FREE Subscription to Digitial Media Magazine,
- Discounts on IWA sponsored and other
industry-related events, when available,
- IWA support for the promotion and distribution
of press releases and other member news to the IWA General
Membership and, when possible, to the media at large, and
- Discounts on products and services offered
through partnerships with the IWA.
Associate Membership: Associate
members of the IWA receive tangible benefits including the
ability to network with other IWA members and stay fully informed
of webcasting issues.

- Discounts on IWA sponsored and other
industry-related events, when available, and

Annual Dues:
- Regular (Voting) Membership: $500
- Associate (Non-voting) membership (Company/Institution):
$250.00
- Associate (Non-voting) membership (Individual):
$100.00
Note on Associate Memberships - Any companies,
organizations or institutions that are directly involved in
webcasting or providing products or services to the webcasting
industry that wish to be an associate member are required
to join as their company, organization or institution. Individual
Associate membership is reserved for individuals not employed
by any such entity, i.e. students, independent consultants,
journalists, advertising agency employees, etc.. If there
is any question as to eligibility for individual membership,
please fill out the membership form for individual membership
and you will be notified as to your eligibility.
Dues cover a 12 month period beginning with
the month that the dues are received.
