ARBITRON AND EDISON MEDIA RESEARCH RELEASE INTERNET STUDY 10

NEW YORK, NY - 2/26/2003 - Arbitron and Edison Media Research held a webcast on Tuesday, February 25 presenting the results of their most recent study called Internet Study 10 and subtitled The Emerging Digital Consumer. The webcast was hosted by Bill Rose, the director for Abritron's Internet Broadcast Services and Joe Leski, Executive Vice President of Edison Media Research. The study was comprised of 2,005 telephone interviews conducted in January, 2003. The study was broken down into seven distinct sections:

  • Internet usage trends
  • The growth of broadband adoption and its impact on streaming media
  • Internet broadcasting trends
  • The relationship between streaming media users and buying habits for digital devices
  • Perceptions of different media
  • Satellite radio
  • Recommendations for the future
