VITALSTREAM WINS AWARD FOR BEST
CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK
IN STREAMING MAGAZINE'S READER'S CHOICE AWARDS 2003
IRVINE, Calif., April 7, 2003 - Streaming
Magazine's readers have picked VitalStream (OTC:VSTH) for
providing the best content delivery network. Streaming Magazine
has announced its long-anticipated winners of the Reader's
Choice Awards for 2003. This is the third year where readers
pick the best of the best in streaming. The monthly magazine
covers the business of digital media and interactive broadcasting.
Sixteen award categories ran the gamut of streaming, such
as the best streaming broadcast program, best enterprise streaming
program, best consumer streaming program, best hardware, best
software, best player, best content delivery network, best
streaming wireless program, and more.
"Streaming Magazine's Reader's Choice
Awards is recognized within the streaming and broadcasting
industry as the definitive award to win that focuses on the
most significant companies, products, and sites that are involved
with streaming and webcasting," commented Executive Editor
Peggy Miles. "The Reader's Choice Awards tells us what's
on the minds of our readers, who they're using, who they like
and why. Over the years, the majority of all winners continue
to dominate, grow and lead in the streaming marketplace."
"Thank you to the readers of Streaming
Magazine for their recognition of VitalStream's fast and reliable
content delivery network," said Paul Summers, VitalStream
chief executive officer. "The award is meaningful because
it came from those people who are on the front lines of successfully
deploying the latest streaming technologies. This award affirms
our mission to be the leader in the streaming media space."
Eric Rhodes, Publisher of Streaming magazine,
oversees the voting process. "It is incredible to see
who's selected once our accounting department tabulates the
results," he says. "Sometimes, we suspect a winner;
other times it surprises our entire staff. Readers use or
watch the programs or products mentioned, so it is an important
contest to win. Readers vote for the best products as well
as some of the best streaming programs from around the world.
For the first time this year, we see a significant growth
of readers voting from around the world, especially from Asia
and Europe."
Winners will be honored at the International
Webcasting Association and Streaming Magazine's Reader's Choice
Awards reception on Tuesday, April 8th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM
