University of Maryland Alumni Association Launches "TerpTV.com" Internet TV Channel
Building on Success of Terps Football Coach Ralph Friedgen's "FridgeTV.com", Ex-NFL Pro/Sportscaster Jess Atkinson and TV Worldwide Collaborate on New Channel for University Alumni

CHANTILLY, VA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 8, 2004 -- TV Worldwide, a fast-growing web-based global TV network, announced that it had been selected by the University of Maryland Alumni Association to develop and launch "TerpTV.com", (www.TerpTV.com), an Internet TV Channel featuring University activities and alumni spotlights with compelling live and archived video programming. TerpTV is produced in a joint venture with sportscaster and former NFL and University of Maryland kicker Jess Atkinson of Atkinson and Co., the second such state-of-the-art channel produced by the TV Worldwide/Atkinson team in cooperation with the University. The first channel, the highly successful and well-trafficked "FridgeTV.com" (www.fridgetv.com), highlights the University of Maryland Terrapins Football Program under Coach Ralph "The Fridge" Friedgen.

"We're excited about having TerpTV on the air," stated Danita Nias, University of Maryland Alumni Association Executive Director. "With video productions on a variety of features, including News and Events, Alumni Spotlights, and Maryland Memories, this innovative Internet-based television station streams Terp pride right into the computer Web browsers of Maryland alumni around the world."

"Fridge TV proved that a private-label Internet TV channel can be an effective promotional, marketing and communications tool, benefiting every facet of a football program from recruiting to fan participation," commented Atkinson. "Now we're building on this concept, by creating a dedicated Internet TV channel for Maryland alumni that will the help the Alumni Association achieve its goals of staying in touch with Maryland graduates worldwide through compelling content targeted to this demographic audience."

"We're excited about working with Jess to bring another University of Maryland Internet TV channel to life, this time in support of University of Maryland Alumni Association," stated Dave Gardy, CEO of TVWorldwide.com. "Jess is a talented producer and just as with Fridge TV, we know his creative video presentations will generate huge buzz among Maryland alumni. Thus, we've configured this community-based channel to encourage audience participation and facilitate the Alumni Association's mission."

Visitors to TerpTV.com (www.TerpTV.com) should have the Quicktime or Windows Media player tested and installed prior to viewing the free video presentations.
