Veterans Memorial Fund Teams with TV Worldwide for Live
Web Simulcast of Annual Veteran's Day Observance
at the Wall
Base Technologies Sponsors Event via Satellite and Webcast

Va. – TV Worldwide, a web-based global TV network, in cooperation
with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, the National Park
Service and Base Technologies will simulcast live via satellite
and the Internet, the Annual Vietnam Veterans Day Observance
at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial from 1:00 – 2:30 PM ET on
Veteran's Day, Thursday, November 11, 2004.
People around the world can participate online through the
Internet simulcast, accessible through www.vvmf.org, www.usvets.tv
and www.tvworldwide.com . The Veterans Day observance will
also be archived on www.usvets.tv and tvworldwide.com. In
addition, the simulcast will be available for broadcast media
outlets via satellite. Commentary and interviews will be
offered prior to the event. Viewers should tune in online
at 12:45 AM (ET) and have the free Windows Media Player installed
prior to the event. Questions during the live pre-show can
be directed to 703-961-9250, ext 223. The program will be
available to media outlets from 12:45-2:30 p.m. via satellite

Veterans of the Vietnam War and other past conflicts will
participate in the 2004 Veterans Day Observance at the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial Fund and the National Park Service. Active-duty
military who recently served in Operation Iraqi Freedom also
are expected to participate.
Some of the featured participants include:
- The Honorable John P. Murtha, U.S. House of Representatives,
PA-12th District. Congressmen Murtha is the first combat
Vietnam veteran elected to Congress.
- Most Reverend John J. Kaising, Archdiocese for the Military
Services, USA
- Jan C. Scruggs, Founder and President, Vietnam Veterans
Memorial Fund
- Gentry Davis, Deputy Regional Director, National Capital
Region, National Park Service
- James ‘Marty' Irving, former U.S.
Marine Corps Captain in Vietnam; VVMF Corporate Council
Member; Managing Director Cassidy & Pinkard, Inc.
- Diane Carlson Evans, Founder and President, Vietnam Women's
Memorial Foundation
- Karen Spears Zacharias, author and journalist whose father's
name is inscribed on Panel 9E, Line 71 of the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial.

to attend this year's ceremony. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial
