FREE PODCASTING LEGAL GUIDE AVAILABLE

Vice-Chair and founder of the IWA Peggy Miles, President of InterVox.com found this legal guide that answers many of the questions the IWA receives each day on legal issues.

The IWA is offering to send it to you by email as a PDF or you can find it for online reading at http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Podcasting_Legal_Guide.   We’ll be glad to send you the pdf version if you send us an email with your name and company and location to info@webcasters.org with Legal in the subject field.   Warning – the file is 2 megabytes.

The guide covers issues of interest to Webcasters, Video Bloggers and Digital Media Companies.

The comprehensive guide includes information on fair-use, video images, trademark issues, interviewing permissions, copyright, and much more.  It explains RSS and includes links and information to a multitude of sources that will be helpful for those working on podcasters, video blogging, webcasting, and on-demand projects.   The guide is available free, but please refer to your attorney for your particular needs.  No guide can cover all aspects of the law.  The Guide answers US law questions.  The site hopes to get the guide adapted to other countries.  If you’d like to help do that - email podcasting@vogelelaw.com.
